Aragon Motor City in Alcañiz is located in the centre of an area with 25 million inhabitants and approximately 300km far from major cities. It is a unique multifunctional complex with motors at its heart, covering 350 hectares of sports, technology, leisure and culture.

The jewel in the crown of the sports area is the High Speed Circuit, designed by Hermann Tilke, one of the most important Formula 1 circuit designers, with the collaboration of the F1 driver Pedro de la Rosa, Technical Consultant of Ciudad del Motor. The circuit will be 5,345m long and will offer 8 different track layouts. This is already taking form, as building works began in November 2007 and are scheduled to end in summer 2009. The 2 km. long International Karting Circuit, designed by GPO, is already in full use and has hosted important national and international competitions. The offroad area was designed by Carlos Miret and offers different types of circuit: Rally Cross - Supermotard, Motocross, Dirt-Track and Autocross. The Autocross circuit has already hosted several Spanish championships. Furthermore, the construction of the rest of the circuits was recently finished.

Advanced technology, training, research and development... companies involved in the world of MotorSport will have an outstanding place to carry out their activities in the Motor Technology Park.

One of the aspects that set Aragon Motor City apart is its Technology Park. A specially-designed area that will house state of-the-art installations for the professional development of businesses and organisations in the motor industry, a sector that boasts a significant presence of manufacturing companies, technological  centres and research institutes in Aragon. Covering 21 hectares, it will house research, training and standards approval facilities, fostering the creation and transfer of technology between companies and institutions.

The Leisure and culture area is dedicated to restaurants, events, retail and exhibitions. Its main building is designed by the prestigious British firm of architects, Foster + Partners.

All this means that Ciudad del Motor is already a reality which will soon become an international point of reference
