Renault Sport Enthusiast Days are special events for owners of Renault Sport-branded vehicles, as well as sports models from the Renault range, who wish to share their enthusiasm for the brand and acquire first-hand experience of the world of motorsport.
Launched in 2005, the Renault Sport Enthusiast Days were an immediate success, welcoming around 2500 enthusiasts in the 3 first years. Participants were able to discover (or rediscover) the Renault Alpine plant in Dieppe where Renault Sport vehicles are assembled, experience the thrill of driving a Formula Renault single seater race car for the first time or even drive their own car on a racetrack in complete safety, whilst benefiting from expert advice from professionals.
2008 should see the number of enthusiasts grow given that there will be a total of 29 Renault Sport Enthusiast Days scheduled throughout 2008, with visits to the Renault Alpine plant, Renault Sport vehicle test drives, driver tuition and, most important, track days.
New for 2008 are:
3 French tracks that haven't yet hosted Renault Sport Enthusiast Days: the famous track Paul Ricard HTTT, Mans and l’Anneau du Rhin.
3 Track Days organized outside France: one at Brands-Hatch, one of Britain’s finest motor racing tracks, at Barcelone and the other at what is perhaps the world’s most attractive track, Spa-Francorchamps.
2 “Special” days at the Paul Ricard HTTT circuit giving you the opportunity to gain an insight into the lives of the teams involved in the Mégane Trophy, to drive on the famous track at Le Castellet in your own car and to get a feel for the site in optimum conditions.
2 tours of the Alpine Renault plantare conducted in English, giving English speakers the opportunity to see the site in optimum conditions (4 tours are conducted in French).
Making Renault Sport vehicles to people who do not one to allow them to participate in track days.
A special rate for Renault Sport test drive/track experience sessions, enabling as many people as possible to enjoy an initiation to the circuit and to test drive various models from the Renault Sport range at track days.
